Dr. Ward serves as Co-chairperson of The Professional Woman Network (PWN) International Advisory Board and is an active member of the PWN International Speakers Bureau, that has been providing training and coaching to Fortune 500 companies for over sixteen years. She is a Distinguished Special Envoy (NGO) to the United Nations and a member of various other professional organizations including, The International Third World Leaders Association. She has co-author of two books, “Becoming The Professional Woman” and “Women As Leaders: Strategies for Empowerment and Communication." (PUBLICATIONS) Additionally, she has contributed articles for various professional publications, including Nursing Spectrum and NurseZone. Dr. Ward is very active in voluntary community service in Nassau County , New York where she resides.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she enjoyed a most progressive and rewarding career as a Registered Professional Nurse, and held senior executive positions in major teaching hospitals in the New York Metropolitan area. The latest position was Vice President for Nursing Services and Education for a large multi-hospital system.

Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Health and Human Services, Post Masters Certificate in Nursing Administration, Master of Arts in Community Health Education, Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences, New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and certification as Professional and Personal Development Educator, Trainer and Coach, Diversity and Youth Relations Educator.

Dr. Ward is the recipient of a number of awards including, the 2005 Outstanding Healthcare Professional of the Year award from The Concerned Sisters Club of New York, the 2001 Dynamic Woman of The Year Award, from Assemblyman Nick Perry, of Brooklyn, New York; the Outstanding Community Service and Dedication to the Nursing Profession Award from New York Counties Registered Nurses Association District 13; the Outstanding Contributions to Human Services Award from, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., of Nassau County, New York, and Outstanding Community Service Award from both the Nassau County Legislature and the County Executive.
